This 2-hour course helps staff use Carey Group's Brief Intervention ToolS (BITS) to teach skills such as problem-solving, making decisions, recognizing and addressing thinking traps, overcoming automatic responses, and recognizing unhealthy relationships. Case studies, exercises, and scenario-based situations are used to increase understanding of how to use these tools effectively.

- Understand the research that supports the use of BITS as a cognitive behavioral intervention
- Describe the purpose of BITS and their practical application
- Practice using the six BITS tools
- Learn techniques for effectively using BITS for various situations and settings
